Wow! It's been hot here in SW Ontario and my wife and son are in Austria right now and Europe seems to be in a bit of a heat wave as well! I hope you're staying cool wherever you are!

In this email, I want to ask for your help with something, give you some free books, and show you my new cover for Greks (the rest of the series is launching this month!).

But... on the note of my wife and son being away... and my other son working at a camp for the summer, I've been experiencing the bachelor life the last week and a half, and I've started to worry. Just before my wife left, she picked up a deep-fryer, and this thing... it cleans the oil, heats up fast, works great, and then just sits there and calls out things like, "Come enjoy my tasty-ness!" It turns out it's far too easy to use!

And the result? I have eaten an unholy amount of deepfried food the last week and a half, and my search history contains the phrase, "Can I deep fry this or that..." more than is healthy.

I fear for my heart. Please... pray for me. I am struggling with an addiction and don't seem to be able to shake it.

Not like I shake the fries as they come out of the deep fryer! Oh, wow! They're golden brown and crispy and...

I'm sorry. I have a problem. I need help.

Speaking of help...

I need your help with something else! Jerry the Squirre: The Exile launched in May, and it's been a blast to see all the copies ship out! But now I really need reviews! At the moment, there is only one five-star rating up there, nothing else!

Can you take two minutes to leave a quick review for the book? You can just quickly say what you loved about it, or if you only have time to leave a rating (no words), that would help as well!

New Greks books releasing this month!

This month, Greks books 2 and 3 of The Grek Invasion are expected to release. The planned release date is July 28, and I'm super excited to share the rest of this action packed series with you!

Here is the cover redo of book one (I hope you love it) and the covers for books 2 and 3 are just still with the designers (I expect a draft in the next day or so!).

If you haven't checked out this book, make sure you do so you're ready for the adventure to continue at the end of this month! If you want to read book one but can't afford it, let me know (hit reply and ask) and I'll get you an ebook copy for free (I'll just ask that you leave a review for it after you read).

I'll send a quick email when the book launches to let you know, so keep your eye out for a short email in late July!

Free books?

Okay... summer is a great time for reading, and I have some links to a whack of free books for you to check out! I haven't read most of these, but I often join a few lists like this to share books around now and then!

Personal Update

Okay... so, my oldest son is getting married next week. That's strange on so many levels because I can still picture him as a little toddler running around the house, and somehow I'm still in my late twenties/early thirties. But, aside from the delusions of a fiction author, I guess he's not that young anymore, nor am I.

But the deep fryer... the problem is with all the tasty food I'm eating, I'm afraid I won't fit in my suit for the wedding! Or I'll clog my arteries so bad I'll have a heart attack and end up in the hospital rather than the wedding! I gotta get this under control!

On the positive, though, I'm so excited for him, and we absolutely love our daughter-in-law to be. She's perhaps the easiest person on the planet to love, and they're so happy together!

So, next month, I'll have a daughter-in-law and a married son! How cool is that!

That's all for this month! Email me back sometime. I'd love to hear from you.
