My son got married!
It finally happened! My son got married and now I have a daughter in law! The wedding was last weekend and wow! It was so much fun! I've been learning lately to just stop focusing on "the next thing" (this has been a struggle for me) and to just stop and enjoy the moment, and I'm grateful for that day to just do that: slow down and enjoy every moment of it.
The picture on the right is of me and my wife at the wedding with someone trying to photobomb in the background.
Life feels full!
There's been a lot of good stuff going on lately. Loads of celebrations lately (we've attended three weddings this summer). One of those celebrations has been, of course, the launch of the rest of The Grek Invasion Series! It was wild trying to launch that series while the wedding was quickly approaching, but I wanted it out the door before the big day!
And it's been a blast to see so many people pick up copies of the books! So far, the feedback has been very positive!
Check out this 5-star review on Goodreads:
"What a thriller this book is. Shawn is great when it comes to world building and story telling. Every page was just unbelievably interesting."
"The whole plot and the pace if the story keeps a reader engaged..."
"Unputdownable!!!"

Only 99 Cents for a Little Bit Longer!
In case you missed it, the first book in the series (Greks) is still only 99 cents for the ebook, so now's your chance to grab a copy and find out if you can stop reading it or if it's truly "Unputdownable", and if you've already read it, a review would mean the world to an indie author like me!
Books from other authors? What??
Summer is such a big reading time! If you are looking for some other books by other authors, feel free to check out these links! Most of the books are free, but some cost.
NOTE: I can't vouch for all these titles as I haven't read them all, but check 'em out!
Personal Update and What's Next?
Well, it's hard to think of much right now after all that's been going on, but the summer continues to be a busy one. While I'm still trying to get rested up after the Greks launch and my son's wedding, life seems to continue to charge forward.
My youngest son has gone back up to Muskoka where he's working for the summer and won't be home for another month, and my oldest son and new daughter-in-law are trying to settle into their new place. Fun times!
But what's next in Shawn-Writey-Land? Well, I'm struggling with which direction to go. I have book 6 and part of book 7 of the Sevordine Chronicles done, so should I finish that? I have book 1 of a new Dystopian thriller written, so should I write books 2 & 3? Should I dive into a new fantasy series I was wanting to write, or a new kids book that I've been dreaming about for a couple years?
So many questions...
I'd love to hear what you think, because there's always more to write, just not enough time or energy to write it all!
That's all for this month! Email me back with your recommendation for what project to tackle next. I'd love to hear from you!
