Hello Heartland of Raider Nation,

I pray all is well in our Raider Family. On June 11th we will have our Club board elections for our upcoming 36th club year. If I am reelected it will be my 29th year as your Club President. Through the previous 28 years we as a club have accomplished so much together that I would challenge any other clubs to match what we have accomplished.

The friendships that have been made in our booster club, outside our booster club and the friendships we have made with our Raiders Alumni are overwhelming. I am very grateful for our booster club and the recognition our club has received from our peers. I am one very proud club member and I hope you are too.

◆ 2026 Annual Kick Off Tailgate Party

Our annual Kick Off Tailgate Party will be held on Saturday, July 25th at Plaza Park, Arbors 2 & 8. Our special guest will be our very good friend Phil Villapiano. Phil has just completed his autobiography “Just Tackle Baby” and this will be his first book signing event — and the ONLY one in the Central Valley!

Books are available for $40 (book + autograph included). We encourage those who want a copy to pre-pay to guarantee their book. Payments will be accepted at our upcoming meetings or by contacting the club directly.

The Tailgate Party runs from 12 Noon until 5:00 PM. We are returning to our traditional Tri Tip BBQ — more information on lunch cost and event details at our upcoming meeting. This event is open to all our Raider Brothers and Sisters throughout the Heartland of Raider Nation.

◆ SCBCR Away Trip — New Orleans

The annual Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders (SCBCR) away trip is the September 27th game in New Orleans. The SCBCR is currently working with the Saints and the Raiders for tickets and is also looking at hotel options.

The SCBCR is accepting nonrefundable deposits:

Deposit deadline: June 15th. The deposit includes a Saturday night reception party at the hotel, away trip memento, and transportation to the game if needed. Once the hotel is locked in, you will be responsible for booking your own rooms and transportation.

◆ Year 36 — New Club Shirt

Our Raiders Booster Club will be celebrating our 36th year as a recognized Booster Club of our Las Vegas Raiders at our July 9th meeting. We are accepting suggestions for our new club shirt!

If you have come across a picture, artwork, or an idea for our shirt, please contact the club or come to our meeting. The deadline to submit a shirt design is our June 11th meeting.

◆ July 9th Meeting — Location Update

ATTENTION: The Elks Lodge will be closed the entire month of July for a complete remodel. We are currently looking for a new location for our July 9th meeting.

This is a big meeting as it kicks off our new club year — we need plenty of room for our raffle, silent auction, and space to display our new shirts. Stay tuned for more information!

◆ BWW Kick Back Meeting — Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our annual Eat Wings. Raise Funds. event at Buffalo Wild Wings on May 14th. We saved on rent at the Elks Lodge and earned 10% back on all food and drink purchases — including alcohol! 😉

◆ Steering Committee Tailgate Party — San Jose

The annual Steering Committee Tailgate Party was held on Saturday, May 23rd in San Jose, co-hosted by Raider Drive Booster Club of San Jose. We had plenty of great food, a great family atmosphere, and club representation from throughout California — including Reno and Las Vegas.

◆ Intercept Wine — Charles Woodson

We have leftover bottles of Charles Whoooo?!?! Woodson Intercept Wine remaining from our CTE Award Dinner!

Bottles are $20 each with all money raised going to the Maxx Crosby Foundation. Wine bottles are available at all our meetings or by contacting the club to purchase.

◆ Morris Bradshaw Scholarship

On January 3rd, 2025, we lost a great friend and mentor to all Raiders Booster Clubs when Morris Bradshaw passed away. Morris was a 2-time Super Bowl Champion with the Raiders and from 1989 through 2019 served as the Raiders Senior Administrator, Raiders Booster Club Advisor, and head of Raiders Alumni.

His childhood friend Jeff Krumeich started the Morris Bradshaw Scholarship Fund in Morris's hometown of Edwardsville, Illinois — a $2,000 annual scholarship awarded at Morris's high school to a player on the football team in his honor.

ATTENTION: On Monday, May 11th, the 1st $2,000 Morris Bradshaw Scholarship was presented to Yale Weaver. This was an emotional presentation for the Bradshaw family. I miss my friend, my mentor, my brother — but I am grateful that his memory will live on through this scholarship.

At our last meeting at BWW we had $25 in donations, bringing our overall total to $866. We are only $134 away from our $1,000 goal!
