This week's post is about you — not your teen

Hi ,
So much digital parenting advice points at the teenager. This week, I'm turning the lens somewhere less comfortable: onto us, the parents.
The most powerful influence on your teen's relationship with technology isn't a rule you set or a talk you have. It's the example you live, phone in hand, every ordinary day.
Teenagers are expert observers of inconsistency. They notice the phone at dinner, the scroll at breakfast, and the notification that pulls your attention mid-sentence. Before a single rule is spoken, they've already learned how adults relate to their devices.
The good news? This isn't about being a perfect, screen-free parent. It's about honesty and about building digital well-being with your teen instead of for them.
I've written about exactly how to do that here:
It's the bravest step in digital parenting and the one that changes the most.
Warmly, Latifah.
