Hi ,
I want to thank those of you who have sent me well wishes, prayers, and support of any kind. I haven't had the headspace to send individual responses, but I still want you to know it's appreciated.
On the writing front, I've only managed to transcribe old handwritten notes for various story ideas I've come up with. It's a small win for future projects, but I'm still not managing to get my head straight for much else at this time.
Coming into my birthday month, I've never felt less like celebrating. My actual birthday falls on a time my ex has custody of my kids, so I'm hoping by that point I'll be able to be better about focusing on my work instead of spending the day moping.
Fortunately for you, I set up my Hobbit Birthday promotion before everything became so difficult. I've included Once upon a Shoe as my gift to you. At the time of writing this, there are 20 books from other authors who signed up as well. Although I mentioned clean romance when I listed it on BookFunnel, I haven't had the chance to check through everything and make sure the other books are clean.

The Wolf Gate by Hannah Sandvig
Once Upon a Time meets The Princess Bride in this cozy fantasy retelling of Red Riding Hood with an adorable second chance romance, forced proximity, talking cats, and sweet little treats.
Being chased by wolves through a dark forest isn’t the ideal start to Audrey’s summer, and when she’s knocked through a magical gate to Faerie, only one person can make the situation worse.
Her charming, cheesecake-loving ex-boyfriend, Gavin McKenna.
Oh, and he’s also the wolf.
Gavin never meant to break Audrey’s heart, but when you’re a cursed wolf-shifting fae on a mission to the human realm for the Unseelie Queen, you tend to keep some secrets from your high school sweetheart.
Now they have to work together to get her home. As they journey through golden autumn forests, evading the queen’s Huntsman, Audrey starts to fall in love with both the wild and magical Unseelie Kingdom, and the charming fae shifter who brought her there
Is she strong enough to risk heartbreak again to find out if this is true love? And more importantly, can she survive in a fairytale kingdom where no one has heard of coffee?
A stand-alone story in the interconnected Faerie Tale Romances Series, The Wolf Gate has a light and funny adventure, and a sweet no-spice romance that all ages can enjoy. Perfect for fans of Sarah Beth Durst and KM Shea.

A Pan of Pumpkins and Pastries by A. G. Marshall
A dab of pumpkin. A dusting of cinders.
And a drizzle of midnight baking that could change everything.
Celine Blackthorne is the secret ingredient behind the kingdom’s most fashionable bakery. While her stepmother and stepsisters bask in the dining room spotlight, Celine bakes and cleans in the basement kitchen. When a Royal Patisserie Competition threatens to expose her family’s lack of coin and lack of talent, Celine must take matters into her own flour-dusted hands and save the family business.
With the help of the cobbler’s apprentice next door, Celine risks her anonymity to save the people who take her for granted. But when the contest requires her to leave the bakery for the ballroom, Celine’s secret participation may not stay secret for long. As heat rises in the royal kitchen, Celine must decide if she’s baking for her family’s approval or for a love that’s as sweet as it is unexpected.
A Pan of Pumpkin and Pastries, a retelling of Cinderella with a cozy baking competition, is a standalone novella, complete with tropes such as friends to lovers, found family, and royal competition. It is part of The Enchanting Confections series, a collection of clean and cozy stories guaranteed to delight your sweet tooth.
