We had a blast running our booth at MONSTERPALOOZA last weekend and wrapping up our most recent screening season of INDIE FILM LA a few weeks back. Now we are rested, recharged, and ready for more fun this week!

MONTHLY MEETUP
It’s that time of the month again - so join our FREE INDIE FILMMAKERS MEETUP this Thursday, June 4th, from 5:15 PM to 8:00 PM at Bigfoot Lodge, 3172 Los Feliz Blvd., Los Angeles in Atwater Village.

SOHO CINEMA CLUB PODCAST
After a short break the SOHO CINEMA CLUB is back with the latest installment of its irreverent cinematic podcast.
They begin the new season with a doozy! So buckle up! The Soho Cinema Club crew—Miles Flanagan, Sean Sardi and Jared Carlson—are risking their sanity to sit through GYMKATA, a strong contender for the most disastrously awful movie in human history. It's 1985, so of course it's insane!
Can the explosive force of karate actually combine with gymnastics to create the ultimate martial art? Our brave, film-junkie heroes are about to find out, judging this glorious cinematic train-wreck so you don't have to!
SHOCK-A-GO-GO FESTIVAL
This coming weekend is the return of SHOCK-A-GO-GO, Southern California’s wildest cult film festival, at the Art Theatre Long Beach on June 6–7. The two-day event features screenings of cult classics, including a Saturday LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Q&A with star Jackie Joseph hosted by Miles Flanagan (of SOHO CINEMA CLUB), alongside BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR, FORBIDDEN ZONE, and TALES FROM THE HOOD. The marathon also includes live burlesque, special guest directors, and Sunday's independent film showcase.

MONSTERPALOOZA HIGHLIGHTS
Last weekend (May 29-31) was a blast at MONSTERPALOOZA. As usual we had our vintage memorabilia table (see photos) - selling everything from 1971 A CLOCKWORK ORANGE souvenir brochures to PLANET OF THE APES 3D Talking View-Masters and so much more! All from my years and years of collecting film memorabilia.
It’s always fun at this convention as we reconnect with old friends and make amazing new friends too.

INDIE FILM LA FIRST SEASON

Filmmakers get the chance to talk about their work at all our screenings through a moderated Q&A. It's a fabulous way to connect, create community and celebrate filmmaking. And it's always FREE to enter through FILM FREEWAY.
