Hi !

It's been a bit since I've emailed, but I wanted to check in with you. How is your homeschooling going? Has your summer started yet? (Are you taking a break, going light/fun, or continuing on as normal?) Hit reply and let me know!

Last month, I had new posts go live on the blog:

  • Cribbage is an older game, but would you believe I only learned it recently?!? It's great if all you have is a deck of cards, pencil, and paper, but want to do something different.
  • If your family enjoys solitaire, but you want to play a game together, try Kings in the Corner!
  • Luck of the Draw is my attempt at getting an artsy game. I still don't like it, but it's better than Pictionary.
  • I got They Who Were 8 on some random sale years ago and finally pulled it out. It's a smaller game with relatively simple rules, but there's so much strategy possible to it! I definitely recommend it if you have older kids.
  • I found A Pinch of Murder at a thrift store, and boy, am I glad I did! If you or your kids enjoy mysteries, crime shows, or whodunits, then check out this unassuming game.

This month, you can look forward to posts on Einstein and Lexogon. I don't have any other new posts written, and probably won't get to new ones for a bit. I did, however, borrow a new game, so we need to try that and get it reviewed ... on a day off, sometime. (If you missed my earlier announcement: I'm working a summer job so am taking a bit of a break and stepping back from my blog. I'm still here, just focusing elsewhere for a bit.) I also don't have a new video posted ... the latest one was Code Master. We do have one or two dozen with raw footage recorded, but my husband is also working full-time, and hasn't had time to edit for me. So, we'll get to that when we can.

I hope your summer is starting out amazingly and things are going the way you'd like. Until next time,

Happy Gaming!
