How I saved £50/month

Hi
I moved house in April, and gosh it's SO expensive, isn't it? Plus, my rent has gone up so last month I looked very seriously at all my bills and tried to bring them down...
My best find was that a five minute call to my water supplier meant I could get a FREE water metre installed which saved me over £50 this month! My bill was previously £85/m based on an estimate of what 3 people use. Clearly, my teens are not as clean as they imagine (LOL), I don't use the washing machine every day, and we don't have a dishwasher, so our water bill is now MUCH lower.
I also split our council tax bill over 12 months instead of 10 which saves me about £30/m.
And I reduced payments on my contact lenses as I have loads already, which was another £12/m.
I did look at my broadband and mobile phones, but I'm in a contract with BT which doesn't end for another 9 months, and so there wasn't any saving to be made there.
Next I'm thinking of changing bank to get the gift for moving...
Have you tried any of these?
Or have you got other tips for me to try?
