Here it is what to do in Malta between from 1st to the 7th of June - and beyond!
Jun 01, 2026 6:01 am
Hi,
The Travellers are playing MFCC on Thursday night - 10 years of Maltese music on one stage, and this is genuinely their biggest show yet. And if you want to close out the week differently, Sunday is Sette Giugno: the commemorations in Valletta are free, moving, and one of those things that reminds you why this island has such a strong sense of itself.
THIS WEEK IN MALTA
- The DLT Festival runs through Sunday across St Paul's Bay and Ta' Qali, with Brandy, dvsn and Musiq Soulchild on the lineup - check the Live Nation page for the daily schedule if you want to catch a specific artist.
- Sunday 7 June is Sette Giugno, Malta's national day marking the 1919 uprisings - the official ceremonies in Valletta are free and worth showing up for even if you've never been before.
- The Eco Festival at Upper Barrakka Gardens wraps up on Saturday, so if you haven't made it yet, this weekend is your last chance for the free sustainable market with harbour views.
SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK: THE TRAVELLERS - 10 SNIN TA' MUZIKA AT MFCC
Ten years of The Travellers, and they're marking it the right way - a full live concert at the biggest indoor venue on the island.
This is the kind of show that feels different from a regular gig. The MFCC is a proper concert hall, the setlist will pull from a decade of Maltese favourites, and the crowd will know every word. If you've never seen them live, this is the moment to go - a 10-year anniversary show tends to have an energy that regular tour nights don't. Grab tickets online rather than assuming the door will sort you out.
Details: Thursday 5 June 2026, 20:30 - Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC), Ta' Qali, Attard - here.

Why go: Sunset starts around 20:30 this time of the year - dancing outside with the bay behind you as the light drops is hard to beat.
3. ORPHAN FILM SCREENING - SPAZJU KREATTIV - a screening of Laszlo Nemes' historical drama, two sessions this weekend at one of Valletta's best small cinemas.

Where: Spazju Kreattiv Cinema, St James Cavalier, Castille Square, Valletta
